Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Halibut Halibut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LaVern Shirley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halibut comes to the cage accompanied by Peter You Suck. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Halibut Halibut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LaVern Shirley!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halibut misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shirley gets the takedown into side control.
Halibut manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shirley's best efforts.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Halibut keeping hold of Shirley's head, controlling as best he can.
Halibut is looking for a sweep. Shirley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Halibut wants to control but Shirley is keeping busy.
Shirley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Halibut has managed to free his arm - good work.
Halibut is refusing to be controlled, as Shirley sits in half guard.

Halibut has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shirley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shirley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Shirley stays in close to Halibut's body and controls the position.
Halibut throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Shirley thows a big elbow that misses.
Shirley drops back looking for a leg! Halibut is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Halibut manages to kick Shirley off! Shirley jumps back into Halibut's guard.
Halibut looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Shirley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halibut swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Halibut lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Shirley sprawling to the canvas. Halibut follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Shirley hang on?
Shirley is rocked!
It looks like LaVern Shirley has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halibut connects with a nice short shot to Shirley's temple.
Shirley is still in real trouble! Can Halibut finish him?
Shirley gets full guard.
Shirley seems to have recovered his senses.
Shirley wants to sweep here but Halibut controlling him for the moment.
Halibut is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Halibut missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Shirley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shirley will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Shirley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Halibut's guard.

Halibut strikes from his own guard.
Halibut trying to keep a closed guard but Shirley is proving a slippery customer.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shirley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Shirley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shirley being controlled here momentarily.
Halibut is trying to keep Shirley in close.
Halibut working for a triangle but Shirley defends it easily.
Halibut wants to sweep but no luck.
Halibut will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Halibut throws a nice looking combination but Shirley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Halibut Halibut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shirley looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Shirley tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Halibut throws a looping overhand right but Shirley ducks down to avoid it.
Halibut throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Halibut is breathing heavily.
Nice cross by Shirley.
Shirley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nice takedown defense from Halibut. No joy for Shirley on that attempt.
Halibut cracks Shirley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shirley shoots in for a double leg but Halibut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shirley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Halibut has a couple of punches blocked by Shirley.
Shirley drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Halibut gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Halibut Halibut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LaVern Shirley.
Halibut prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shirley goes for a takedown attempt but Halibut pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Halibut fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shirley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Halibut is fending him off so far but Shirley persists. Nope, Halibut circles away and we're back to standing.
Halibut dodges the punch combination from Shirley.
Halibut Halibut is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shirley tries for a takedown but Halibut sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shirley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Halibut Halibut dominated that round.
The cut man is working on LaVern Shirley's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shirley dives in and grabs Halibut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Halibut pushes down on Shirley's head and hops out.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Halibut! Shirley is backing up but he can't get away as Halibut lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Shirley and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Halibut Halibut!
