Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tre Sykes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykes fails with an attempt to clinch.

Sykes lands a big head kick that sends Coleman tumbling to the mat! Sykes takes a step backwards and waves Coleman back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Chris Coleman has been cut.
Sykes throws a sloppy head kick and Coleman moves out of range easily.
Sykes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Coleman is nestled in close to Sykes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sykes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Coleman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sykes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sykes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Coleman throws a strike but Sykes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Coleman wants to stand and escape but Sykes is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Coleman lands in his opponent's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Sykes's temple.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
