Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antanas Kazlau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Power!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazlau uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Power.

Kazlau feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Power looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kazlau is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Power is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kazlau breaks from Power's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Power has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kazlau is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kazlau connects with a nice short shot to Power's temple.

Power has his foot on Kazlau's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kazlau works his way back into a safe position though.

Power shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kazlau counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kazlau bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Power isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kazlau stacks Power on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kazlau!

Power tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Kazlau easily slips into full mount!
Power is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kazlau lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Power hang on?
Power tries to lock up and control but Kazlau gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Power is wriggling around trying to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kazlau pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Kazlau has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Power's face.

Kazlau fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Power wants to control but Kazlau is having none of it.
Power is working to get back to half guard.
Kazlau lands a big elbow.
Power bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Kazlau on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kazlau tries to get out of the position.

Power is pushing down on Kazlau's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kazlau is fighting to maintain full guard but Power has managed to sneak the leg through.
Power lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Power wants to advance to full mount but Kazlau doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Well Kazlau has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
