And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houle looks to land a combination but El Mafoodi avoids it well.
Houle throws a front kick aimed at El Mafoodi's knee but El Mafoodi avoids it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Houle is defended easily by El Mafoodi.
Houle misses with a body kick.
Houle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but El Mafoodi avoids it really well and circles away.
El Mafoodi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Houle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with El Mafoodi but El Mafoodi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Houle successfully pulls guard.
El Mafoodi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
El Mafoodi wants to pass the guard but Houle is keeping the position.
