Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kambei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urban Keso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kambei comes into the arena with Tori Amos - Crucify blaring out of the sound system. Urban Keso has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Akira Kambei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Kambei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Urban Keso! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keso tries to clinch up. Keso doesn't manage to clinch there - Kambei circles away.
Keso is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kambei will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kambei is looking to clinch. Keso is looking to chop away at Kambei's legs. Kambei shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kambei trying to control the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kambei's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Akira Kambei just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kambei fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kambei fails to land with a series of punches.
Keso with a poor takedown and Kambei counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kambei sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Kambei dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Keso clinches but Kambei breaks the clinch and Kambei counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Keso! Keso is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kambei gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Kambei has a takedown stuffed. Akira Kambei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kambei circles away from the clinch attempt and Kambei counters with a shoot takedown. Keso fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kambei drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kambei jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kambei wants to control from the top but Keso keeps moving. Keso keeping full guard, as Kambei tries to pass. Kambei slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kambei looking to pass the guard. Akira Kambei overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kambei looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keso wants to get back to his feet but Kambei passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kambei content to control rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Kambei dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Keso tries to clinch up and Kambei counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Keso's guard now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kambei showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Keso closes the distance looking to clinch and Kambei counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Keso's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kambei pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Keso is keeping the position for now. Kambei controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kambei wants to stand but Keso has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kambei won't allow Keso to get back to his feet. Keso takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kambei's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kambei has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kambei trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kambei slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kambei seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Keso for as long as he can get away with.
And that's the end of the fight! Akira Kambei showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kambei, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
