Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dani Favio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No More Heroes. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dani Favio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neil Holmes! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Favio fails in his attempt to clinch. Dani Favio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Favio closes this distance looking for a takedown but Holmes circles away. Favio shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Holmes slaps away a takedown attempt from Favio, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dani Favio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Favio fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Holmes. Favio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Dani Favio has been cut. Favio with a poor takedown and Holmes counters with a single leg into guard. Favio didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Holmes trying to control the position from guard on top but Favio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holmes pushes down on Favio's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holmes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Favio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Holmes. Favio is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holmes seems to be working for a kimura but Favio defends the submission attempt. Favio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Holmes on the ground. Holmes wants to control but Favio is keeping him busy. Holmes is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holmes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Holmes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holmes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Favio sees it coming and defends easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Neil Holmes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dani Favio's cut. That's time! Favio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Favio tries to close the distance and clinch but Holmes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Favio moves out of range as Holmes strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Favio tries to clinch up and Holmes counters with a series of strikes. Favio will be more careful next time no doubt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Favio doesn't succeed with the takedown and Holmes counters with a lovely shot to the body. No joy there for Holmes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Favio really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holmes takes a swing at Favio's ribcage but misses. Holmes throws a right hand that Favio ducks under and follows up with a left that Favio also avoids with ease. Holmes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holmes dives in and grabs Favio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Favio pushes down on Holmes's head and hops out. Favio shoots in for a takedown but Holmes shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Favio fails with the takedown and Holmes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Favio's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dani Favio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holmes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Favio is keeping the position for now. Holmes stands and throws Favio's legs to the side, diving into side control. Holmes tries for a kimura but Favio is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Favio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Holmes trying to control the action but Favio is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Neil Holmes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dani Favio's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Favio shoots in and bounces Holmes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Holmes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Favio is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Favio controls from within his opponent's guard. Holmes keeping moving, preventing Favio from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Favio controls from within his opponent's guard. Holmes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Holmes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Holmes looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Favio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Favio trying to control but Holmes is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Favio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Favio tries for a takedown but Holmes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Favio tries to clinch there but Holmes circles away.
Holmes keeps the fight on the outside. Favio tries for a takedown but Holmes circles away easily and Holmes counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dani Favio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holmes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holmes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Holmes tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Holmes tries for a kimura but Favio is defending well. Dani Favio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holmes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Neil Holmes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Holmes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
