Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boxcar Willie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil DeBlunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying DeBlunt's choice of entrance music: Westside Connection - Bow Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boxcar Willie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil DeBlunt! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willie shoots in but no luck this time. A slow jab from DeBlunt misses its intended target. DeBlunt lands the left hand. Willie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
DeBlunt throws out a loose jab but Willie uses good head movement to avoid it. DeBlunt drops Willie with a beautiful combination! Willie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - DeBlunt is looking for the KO!
It looks like Boxcar Willie has been cut. Phil DeBlunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Nice defenses there by Willie. DeBlunt throws a jab when Willie was well out of range. Willie slips a jab and a cross from DeBlunt.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeBlunt misses with a wild combination.
DeBlunt missing with a left hand there. Willie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. DeBlunt looks to land a left hand but Willie moved out of range nicely. DeBlunt throws a series of punches but Willie moves out of range. Willie defending well as DeBlunt loads up on a big left hand. Nice defenses there by Willie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. DeBlunt misses with a hook. Willie swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Willie defending well as DeBlunt loads up on a big left hand. Horrible takedown by Willie or perhaps it was just good defense by DeBlunt which made him look bad. DeBlunt throws a jab when Willie was well out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and DeBlunt wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boxcar Willie. That's going to take a lot out of him. DeBlunt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Willie. DeBlunt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Willie. DeBlunt cracks Willie with a good jab. DeBlunt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. DeBlunt misses the jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willie stuns DeBlunt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Willie avoids a punch combination nicely.

Willie staying out of range there. Phil DeBlunt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Willie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Willie lands in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil DeBlunt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boxcar Willie's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Willie moves out of range of the strikes. Willie avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Willie with a body punch. A glancing blow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Willie blocks a jab. DeBlunt misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Willie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeBlunt. DeBlunt misses with a hook. DeBlunt throws a right hand that Willie ducks under and follows up with a left that Willie also avoids with ease. Willie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and DeBlunt counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willie throws a leg kick but DeBlunt sees it coming and checks it nicely. DeBlunt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Willie circles away quickly and effectively. DeBlunt missing with a left hand there. Willie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Willie ducks under a wild hook from DeBlunt. DeBlunt lands a head shot. This has been an exciting period of action! DeBlunt throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Willie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for DeBlunt! Willie has hold of DeBlunt's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and DeBlunt manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Willie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now DeBlunt is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Willie is proving hard to escape from. DeBlunt looking to pass the guard. Willie throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
DeBlunt wants to get up but he can't break Willie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. DeBlunt is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DeBlunt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Willie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
DeBlunt tries to reverse the position but Willie maintains control. Willie goes for an armbar but DeBlunt turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from DeBlunt. Willie is looking to sweep but instead, DeBlunt has passed into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil DeBlunt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Boxcar Willie's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Willie gets a takedown into half guard. Willie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Willie seems to be working for a kimura but DeBlunt defends the submission attempt. Willie throwing shots but DeBlunt is blocking nicely. Willie is working for a kimura but DeBlunt is defending it quite comfortably.
DeBlunt is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeBlunt is looking for a sweep. Willie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. DeBlunt preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. DeBlunt pushes Willie off looking to stand but Willie dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Willie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeBlunt's waist but DeBlunt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Willie off to one side. Willie ducks under a wild hook from DeBlunt. Willie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. DeBlunt is trying to defend but Willie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. DeBlunt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Willie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt tries to kick Willie off but Willie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Willie trying to pass the guard but DeBlunt defending well. Willie is working for a submission of some sort.
DeBlunt is trying to control but can't.
DeBlunt tries to get to full guard but Willie has control of the leg. Willie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. DeBlunt defending well though. DeBlunt is defending against the submission attempts here by Willie.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Willie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as DeBlunt throws out the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt throws a jab when Willie was well out of range. DeBlunt swings away with a body shot that misses
and Willie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in DeBlunt's guard now. Willie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt wants to sweep but no luck. Willie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and DeBlunt dives on top into guard. DeBlunt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Willie is proving hard to escape from. DeBlunt stands and throws Willie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Willie is trying to improve his position. DeBlunt decides to stand back up. DeBlunt steps back and let's Willie get back to his feet. Boxcar Willie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! DeBlunt fails with the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Boxcar Willie showed his dominance in that final round. I think DeBlunt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
