Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Speedy Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vern Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troyer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gonzalez sneaks back into half guard.
Troyer wants to take a breather but Gonzalez is having none of it.

Troyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Troyer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gonzalez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Troyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzalez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gonzalez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Troyer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gonzalez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Troyer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
