Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Phelan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Phelan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Phelan! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin fails with the takedown. Phelan thumps Austin with a low kick. Phelan tries to clinch up. Phelan tries to keep at a distance but Austin has taken the fight into the clinch. Phelan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Phelan jumps guard but Austin stands there with Phelan around his waist. Phelan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Austin keeping moving, preventing Phelan from controlling successfully. Austin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Phelan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Phelan trying to control the position from guard on top but Austin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phelan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Austin's guard. Phelan is taking a breather. Austin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phelan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Phelan trying to control the action but Austin is working from the bottom. Austin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Austin tries to get out of the position. Austin wants to control but Phelan is keeping busy.
Phelan is trying to control. Austin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Phelan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Phelan has eaten all the pies!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Phelan prevents Austin from improving his position. Phelan is trying to control the action in half guard but Austin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Austin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Phelan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phelan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Austin did well to prevent Phelan getting side control. Austin is breathing heavily. Phelan wants to stand up but Austin has a hold of him and won't allow it. Austin is looking to improve his position.
Austin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phelan on the ground. Phelan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Austin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Phelan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Austin tries to kick Phelan off but Phelan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Phelan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Phelan lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phelan tries to pass to full mount but Austin defends it. Phelan is keen to just control but Austin is a slippery customer. Phelan wants to pass to mount but Austin is defending the position. Austin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Austin wants to control but Phelan is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Phelan prevents Austin from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Phelan dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Phelan misses with a takedown attempt and Austin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Austin has Phelan pressed against the cage, preventing Phelan from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Austin stops a takedown attempt from Phelan.
Phelan is trying to force a seperation but Austin has the dominant position. Phelan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Austin's efforts to push away. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Phelan drags the fight down to the ground.
Phelan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Austin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Austin content to stall in guard here. Austin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phelan is trying to keep Austin in close.
Phelan is breathing heavily. Austin pushes down on Phelan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Austin trying to mount his opponent but Phelan defends it. Phelan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Phelan has his foot on Austin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Austin works his way back into a safe position though. Phelan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Austin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Austin connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Austin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Austin taking a breather here. Austin decides to take the fight back to the feet. Phelan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Austin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Phelan's guard now. Steve Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Phelan. Austin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phelan trying to control the position.
Phelan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Austin is aware though and is defending well. Phelan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Phelan kicks Austin off and gets to his feet. Austin misses with a head kick.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Phelan wants to clinch but Austin slips to the side so Austin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Phelan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Phelan wants to get back to his feet but Austin is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Phelan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Austin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Austin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Phelan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Austin has Phelan in his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Austin dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Phelan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Phelan throws a head kick that misses. Austin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Austin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phelan has his takedown stuffed and Austin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Phelan's guard now. Austin won't allow Phelan to sweep him here. That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Phelan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Phelan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Phelan is keen to just control but Austin is a slippery customer. Phelan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Austin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Phelan passes to side control. Phelan wants to control but Austin is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Austin is trying to buck Phelan off. Phelan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Phelan taking a breather here. Austin is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You can see the frustration on Austin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Phelan trying to control the position but Austin is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Phelan tries to clinch there but Austin circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Austin showed his dominance in that final round. I think Austin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
