Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donovan DeAntonio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeAntonio kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Psychosocial" by Slipknot. Hatton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blue Moon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rick Hatton has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeAntonio is looking to clinch but Hatton is avoiding it.
DeAntonio fails with an attempt to clinch.
DeAntonio shoots in for a double leg but Hatton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hatton lunges at DeAntonio with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by DeAntonio's hand.
It looks like Donovan DeAntonio has been cut. Hatton gets caught flat footed, as DeAntonio shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hatton looking to hit a scissor sweep but DeAntonio is one step ahead there. Hatton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DeAntonio wants to control from the top but Hatton keeps moving. Hatton looking for a sweep. Not yet Hatton, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeAntonio wants to control from the top but Hatton keeps moving. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hatton drops DeAntonio with a left and a right! Oh, DeAntonio is hurt - Hatton dives into side control looking to finish!
Hatton working the head and body with strikes. Hatton looks up at the clock and then as DeAntonio takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hatton smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hatton working the ground and pound from side control. Hatton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeAntonio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. DeAntonio is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hatton off and has taken his back! DeAntonio has the hooks in. Hatton is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Hatton trying to control the position but DeAntonio manages to sink in the hooks. Hatton breaks DeAntonio's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
DeAntonio is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hatton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hatton scoring with some ground and pound. Hatton advances position into side control! Hatton lands a decent elbow from side control. DeAntonio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Hatton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hatton cracks DeAntonio with a big right hand but DeAntonio just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
DeAntonio takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Hatton lands a decent elbow from side control. Hatton in side control, throwing shots but DeAntonio defends. Hatton cracks DeAntonio with a big elbow. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hatton scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at DeAntonio to see if he's OK. DeAntonio manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hatton's best efforts. DeAntonio is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hatton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hatton's back! Hatton breaks DeAntonio's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hatton thows a big elbow that misses. Hatton with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton looking to pass the guard. Hatton wants to control from the top but DeAntonio keeps moving. Hatton is looking to work some ground and pound but DeAntonio has wrist control. DeAntonio wants to stand but Hatton is controlling the position. DeAntonio has momentary wrist control but Hatton slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatton scoring with some ground and pound. Hatton postures up.
Hatton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. DeAntonio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hatton throws a big right hand that misses. Hatton content to stall in guard here. DeAntonio not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hatton looking to sit in guard and control but DeAntonio gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hatton can do anything to dispel that myth. Hatton wants to stand up but DeAntonio is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Hatton dominated that round. The cut man is working on Donovan DeAntonio's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
DeAntonio takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice combo by Hatton! Oh, that's hurt him - DeAntonio falls to the canvas and Hatton follows him into side control.
DeAntonio is rocked! Hatton landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Oh DeAntonio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! DeAntonio taking punishment in the form of punches.
DeAntonio is looking for a sweep. Hatton trying to control the position but DeAntonio is working away. DeAntonio seems to have got his legs back now. Check out the look on Hatton's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hatton is chipping away with strikes.
DeAntonio tries to buck Hatton off but Hatton is having none of it. Hatton trying to control the action but DeAntonio is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hatton scores with punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton working the head with strikes. Hatton scores with punches from side control. Hatton tries to advance to mount but can't. Hatton wants to control but DeAntonio is keeping him busy. Hatton tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hatton wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeAntonio keeps working. DeAntonio manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. DeAntonio prevents Hatton from improving his position. DeAntonio is looking for a kimura here.
Hatton is trying to get back to full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hatton scores with a crisp jab that stopped DeAntonio in his tracks.
Donovan DeAntonio's cut is getting worse. Hatton tests DeAntonio's chin there with a solid looking shot. DeAntonio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hatton throws a big overhand right that connects, sending DeAntonio tumbling to the canvas!
Donovan DeAntonio's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. DeAntonio looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton is in close to DeAntonio's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hatton lands a couple of elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hatton's corner. There ya go! There ya go! DeAntonio keeping moving, preventing Hatton from controlling successfully. DeAntonio is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hatton is stalling in the full guard. Hatton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed DeAntonio's guard. Hatton slips a nice elbow through DeAntonio's hands, connecting with DeAntonio's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatton works his foot free and advances to mount. Hatton with a couple of short strikes. Hatton landing strikes, looking to finish!
Jeez, Donovan DeAntonio's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Donovan DeAntonio's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
