Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Jansen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Roberts! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Roberts throws a right and a left that Jansen avoids nicely. Roberts throws a right and a left that Jansen avoids nicely. Jansen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jansen moves forwards but Roberts connects with a nice, crisp jab. Jansen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jansen wants to pass the guard but Roberts is defending well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jansen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Roberts has hold of Jansen's hands but Jansen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jansen is trying to work for a kimura but Roberts is defending well.
Jansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jansen trying to control from half guard but Roberts is working away. Roberts tries to roll over but Jansen keeps him under control. Roberts is pressing down on Jansen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jansen passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jansen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts avoids a punch combination nicely.
Roberts throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jansen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jansen prevents Roberts from breaking the clinch. Roberts is looking to break free of the clinch but Jansen has double underhooks. Roberts works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jansen holds on and takes a little breather. Jansen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Roberts is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jansen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Roberts's back instead. Jansen is breathing heavily. Jansen working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Roberts is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Jansen has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Roberts taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mark Jansen!
