Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nag Hambukoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Ruggiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ruggiero looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice sprawl there from Ruggiero as Hambukoo shoots in.
Ruggiero circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ruggiero misses with a takedown attempt
and Hambukoo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ruggiero's guard.
Hambukoo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hambukoo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hambukoo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Hambukoo is looking to pass Ruggiero's guard but actually Ruggiero recovers to full guard.
Hambukoo wants to control from the top but Ruggiero keeps moving.
Ruggiero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hambukoo is one step ahead there.
Hambukoo drops back looking for a leg! Ruggiero is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ruggiero manages to kick Hambukoo off! Hambukoo jumps back into Ruggiero's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hambukoo misses with a takedown attempt
and Ruggiero counters with a good low kick that Hambukoo was not able to check.
Ruggiero tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hambukoo counters with a shoot takedown. Ruggiero fights it but they end up in guard.
Ruggiero wants to get back to his feet but Hambukoo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hambukoo forces his way into half guard.
Ruggiero works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hambukoo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hambukoo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ruggiero looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ruggiero looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ruggiero!
Hambukoo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hambukoo is breathing heavily.
Ruggiero wants to get back to his feet.
Hambukoo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Hambukoo working for a triangle but Ruggiero defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ruggiero drops back looking for a leg! Hambukoo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hambukoo manages to kick Ruggiero off! Ruggiero jumps back into Hambukoo's guard.
Hambukoo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Ruggiero frees his head nicely. Oh but Hambukoo has switched to an armbar! Ruggiero is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
