Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Conroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's entrance music is "Stand your ground" by Acarine. A fine choice. Dylan Conroy looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Conroy! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sanchez turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Conroy parries the strikes from Sanchez easily there. Sanchez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Conroy to escape.
Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conroy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez is putting a hurting on Conroy here, landing some big shots from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez wants to control but Conroy is keeping him busy. Sanchez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Conroy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by Conroy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conroy working away. Conroy gets to mount! Sanchez was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Conroy tries to control but Sanchez wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sanchez tries to hold on but Conroy pushes him away. Sanchez is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Tommy Sanchez just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Conroy wants to clinch and Sanchez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sanchez. Conroy swings wildly with an uppercut but Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid it. Sanchez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Sanchez has Conroy pulled in close to control his posture. Sanchez controls Conroy momentarily but Conroy frees himself. Sanchez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Conroy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Sanchez is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab from Conroy. Conroy closes the distance and lands a one-two. A punch combination from Conroy misses. Sanchez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Conroy sprawls well initially but Sanchez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sanchez wants to take a breather but Conroy is having none of it. Sanchez tries to pass to full mount but Conroy defends it. Sanchez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Conroy is trying to get back to full guard. Sanchez is just content to waste time from the top position. Conroy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Sanchez dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Conroy throws a combination that misses and Sanchez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sanchez lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Conroy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Conroy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sanchez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Conroy uses from the top position. Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Conroy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sanchez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Conroy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conroy prevents Sanchez from getting back to his feet. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Conroy from controlling successfully. Sanchez scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Conroy lands a jab-cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Conroy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sanchez fails with the takedown. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Conroy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Conroy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sanchez counters with a single leg into guard. Conroy didn't expect that. Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Conroy dives on top into guard. Sanchez working for submissions but it's allowed Conroy to get to half guard.
Conroy is pressing down on Sanchez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sanchez is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conroy is just content to waste time from the top position. Sanchez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sanchez holds on and takes a little breather. Sanchez working a defensive guard but Conroy passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez wants to control the action here but instead Conroy manages to pass to full mount! Conroy trying to control but Sanchez is having none of it. Sanchez is trying to escape the mount.
Sanchez is trying to reverse the position but instead Conroy has taken his back - oops! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Sanchez dominated that second round. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Sanchez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Conroy works over Sanchez's head and body with a nice combination. Sanchez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Conroy is trying to stand up here but Sanchez is controlling him well. Conroy is staying active underneath Sanchez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sanchez seems to be working for a kimura but Conroy defends the submission attempt. Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conroy keeps working. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but Conroy defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez throwing shots but Conroy is blocking nicely. Conroy tries to kick Sanchez off but Sanchez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Conroy throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease. No joy there for Conroy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Conroy prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sanchez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Conroy regains guard.
Conroy wants to stand but Sanchez is controlling the position. Sanchez showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez with a flurry of punches that miss. Tommy Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Conroy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Conroy wants to get back to his feet but Sanchez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez postures up and lands a big shot to Conroy's brow. Sanchez slips nicely into half guard. Conroy tries to kick Sanchez off but Sanchez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Conroy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage. Tommy Sanchez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sanchez wants to take a breather but Conroy is having none of it. Sanchez with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Conroy works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez content to stall in guard here. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Conroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanchez is stalling in the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez trying to control but Conroy is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
