Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jakub Jasek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Gray! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jasek shoots in and bounces Gray off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Jasek has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gray looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jasek trying to control the position from guard on top but Gray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gray preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jasek trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gray has his foot on Jasek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jasek works his way back into a safe position though. Jasek connects with a couple of short punches. Jasek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jasek landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jasek works his foot free and advances to mount. Gray is squirming around, avoiding Jasek's attempts to control the action. Gray can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jasek postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gray looks a forlorn figure.
Jasek with shots to the head and body - Gray looks very uncomfortable down there. Jasek has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gray's face.
Jasek goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gray turns into him and now he's in Jasek's guard.
Jasek wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jasek wants to sweep but no luck. Jasek is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gray is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jasek will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jasek is working an open guard so Gray takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jasek shoots in but Gray avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakub Jasek. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gray tries to clinch there but Jasek circles away.

Gray stuffs the takedown. Jasek closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gray did well to prevent Jasek getting side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jasek throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gray was covering up waiting for the punch and Jasek finishes the takedown easily into guard. Jasek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jasek gets to his feet - Gray follows without any prompting. Jasek misses with a takedown attempt - Gray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jasek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gray is fending him off so far but Jasek persists. Nope, Gray circles away and we're back to standing. Gray gets a takedown into half guard. Gray escapes and gets back to his feet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gray tries to clinch but Jasek is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jakub Jasek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jasek keeps working. Jasek throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Gray closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gray lands in his opponent's guard. Gray trying to control the position from guard on top but Jasek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jasek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jasek is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gray is controlling him. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Danny Gray. I think Gray has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
