Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn has chosen BJ Penn as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rasputin ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Penn misses the jab. Rasputin scores with a nice right hand.
Rasputin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Penn defends it nicely. Penn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rasputin moves away. Penn looks to land a right hand but Rasputin moved out of range. Rasputin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rasputin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rasputin lands in his opponent's guard. Rasputin with a flurry of punches that miss. Penn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rasputin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Penn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rasputin is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Penn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rasputin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Penn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rasputin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rasputin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin is staying active underneath Penn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Penn trying to mount his opponent but Rasputin defends it. Penn is keen to just control but Rasputin is a slippery customer. Penn is trying to work for a kimura but Rasputin is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Penn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Penn is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rasputin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Penn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasputin is looking to escape. The referee warns Rasputin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rasputin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rasputin throws a big right hand that misses.

Rasputin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Penn is keeping the position for now. Rasputin preventing the sweep. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rasputin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Penn tries to escape but Rasputin is in control. Rasputin lands a nice forearm strike. Penn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rasputin's best efforts. Rasputin is nestled in close to Penn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rasputin trying to mount his opponent but Penn defends it. Penn wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Rasputin is tapping! Great win for Penn!
