Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirty Scampy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ground Pound has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dirty Scampy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Pound! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pound avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Scampy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Scampy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A telegraphed right hand from Scampy misses the target. Scampy lands with a hook. Pound tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Pound defending well as Scampy loads up on a big left hand. Pound ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Scampy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Scampy throws a series of punches but Pound moves out of range. Pound slips a straight right by Scampy. Pound ducks under a wild hook from Scampy. Pound stalks Scampy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scampy's face. Scampy staggers backwards, shaken. Scampy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dirty Scampy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pound wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Pound closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pound slows the pace down. Pound's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound advances to full mount. Scampy is breathing heavily. Pound tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Scampy tries to buck Pound off but he can't manage it. Pound content just to control the position here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ground Pound just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Scampy throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Scampy is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Pound's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Pound ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Scampy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pound controlling from the top position. Scampy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Scampy tries to get out of the position. I looks like Pound might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ground Pound just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pound ducks under a wild hook from Scampy. Pound lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pound closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scampy did well to prevent Pound getting side control. Pound is pressing down on Scampy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Scampy is holding on for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pound in particular looking to stall. Scampy won't allow Pound to pass to mount. Pound takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pound is looking to advance position but Scampy won't allow it. Pound controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scampy looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pound is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Scampy is trying to stand.
Pound with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pound looks to land a combination but Scampy avoids it well. Scampy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Scampy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pound counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pound controlling the action here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pound takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scampy is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Pound controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Pound has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Scampy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pound to score an easy takedown into full guard. Scampy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pound controls the pace.

Pound moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Pound closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pound lands in his opponent's guard. Pound is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Pound passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pound moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Scampy throws a hook to the side of Pound's head but Pound sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pound takes a swing at Scampy's ribcage but misses. A right-left combo lands from Pound. Pound misses with a double jab.

Scampy seems a little lost for a moment, as Pound dominates the positioning. Ground Pound has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pound changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Scampy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Scampy seems a little lost for a moment, as Pound dominates the positioning. Pound works to advance to full mount. Scampy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Pound controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground Pound is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Pound looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pound slips nicely into half guard. Pound controlling the pace. Scampy wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Ground Pound comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pound has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
