Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pieter Aart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bongo Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Aart might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the Tiger. Pieter Aart has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pieter Aart! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bongo Bong! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aart misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bong.
No luck for Bong with that takedown attempt. Aart closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Aart working away. Aart looking to control but instead Bong has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Aart wants to free his trapped foot but Bong is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bong is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Aart pulls his head out easily. Bong tries to get to full guard but Aart has control of the leg. Bong preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Aart is looking to advance position but Bong won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aart trying to control from half guard but Bong is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bong throws a push kick but Aart slaps the foot to one side. Aart drives through with a takedown into guard. Bong being controlled here, momentarily. Bong looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Aart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bong on the ground. Bong pulls Aart in close to his closed guard and prevents Aart from doing any damage or advancing position. Bong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Aart looking to sit in guard and control but Bong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Aart trying to keep a closed guard but Bong is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Aart keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully. Aart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Aart wants to sweep here but Bong controlling him for the moment. Bong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bong looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bong is looking to advance position but Aart won't allow it. Aart tries to get to full guard but Bong has control of the leg. Aart is working hard here to advance position. Aart is doing well to control the position and prevent Bong from advancing to side control. Aart looks like he's trying to stand up.
Aart won't allow Bong to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bong trying to control the pace. Aart wants to control but Bong passes into side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Aart is trying to get back to half guard. Bong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aart keeps working. Aart wants to control but Bong postures up. Bong trying to control the position but Aart is working away. Aart seems a little lost for a moment, as Bong dominates the positioning. Aart tries to buck Bong off but Bong is having none of it. Bong controlling the position from side mount. Bong in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bongo Bong will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Aart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bong counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Aart keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully.
Despite being in the dominant position, Bongo Bong just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aart tries to clinch but Bong moves out of range. Bong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bong controlling from the full mount. Bong landing strikes from the mount and Aart is in trouble! Bong in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Bong controlling from the full mount. Bong moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Aart has worked his arm free - good work by Aart!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bong trying to control the action but Aart is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bong happy to just control the position for now. Aart struggling a bit here. Bong has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Aart is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bong yanks on the arm and Aart is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bong.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bongo Bong! Bongo Bong is the new light heavyweight champion!
