Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ippo Makunouchi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Shamrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ippo Makunouchi! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makunouchi scores with a jab to the jaw. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Makunouchi throws a series of punches but Shamrock moves out of range. Shamrock avoids the body shot from Makunouchi.
Makunouchi misses with the combination.
Shamrock gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shamrock has Makunouchi pressed against the cage, preventing Makunouchi from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Makunouchi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Shamrock is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Makunouchi tries to break the clinch but Shamrock is controlling the position. Makunouchi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Shamrock breaks from the clinch.
Shamrock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Makunouchi misses with the combination.
Makunouchi lands with a shot to the body. Shamrock is breathing heavily. Makunouchi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Makunouchi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Makunouchi lands an overhand right. Ippo Makunouchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice combination there by Makunouchi.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Some wild striking there from Makunouchi.
Makunouchi misses with a series of wild punches.
Makunouchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makunouchi throws a series of punches but Shamrock moves out of range. Shamrock showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Makunouchi.
Makunouchi cracks a nice hook into Shamrock's ribs. Makunouchi scores with a one two! Shamrock had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Makunouchi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Makunouchi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Shamrock has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Shamrock ducks right into an uppercut from Makunouchi. A right-left combo lands from Makunouchi.
Shamrock is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Makunouchi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Makunouchi. Oh Shamrock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Makunouchi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Shamrock to the canvas! Shamrock doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Makunouchi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
