Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas CdS (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Roos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roos has chosen Birds of War as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas CdS! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Austin Roos! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roos has managed to clinch.
Roos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
CdS fails with the takedown. Roos throws a right and a left that both miss. CdS tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten CdS somewhat. Roos clinches with his opponent.

CdS changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roos tries to avoid it but CdS manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roos to the ground. Roos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas CdS. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roos throws a right hand that CdS ducks under and follows up with a left that CdS also avoids with ease. Roos slaps away a takedown attempt from CdS, before circling back to the center of the mat. CdS looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roos is fending him off so far but CdS persists. Nope, Roos circles away and we're back to standing.

Roos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. CdS shoots for a takedown but Roos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Austin Roos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roos fakes the leg kick and cracks CdS in the body. CdS is breathing heavily. Roos misses with a head kick.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roos lets loose with a powerful body kick. CdS will feel that in the morning. Roos wants to clinch up but CdS keeps it at a distance. Roos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Austin Roos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Roos throws a head kick that misses. Roos lunges at CdS with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by CdS's hand. Roos misses with an uppercut. CdS shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Roos defends it nicely.

Roos drives through and clinches with CdS against the ropes.
Roos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. CdS avoids a lazy jab quite easily. CdS shoots in but Roos avoids the takedown attempt easily. Roos has managed to clinch.

Roos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Roos. CdS shrugs it off though. Roos clinches. Roos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Austin Roos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lucas CdS's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Roos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. CdS is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Roos's half guard. CdS is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Roos throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Roos lands a nice looking kick to the body. CdS takes a step back to recover. CdS shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roos as he jumps to the side. Roos missing with a left hand there. CdS was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Roos throws a right and a left that both miss. CdS really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Roos rushes CdS and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. CdS tries to score a body lock takedown but Roos shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Roos lands with a short head shot on the inside. Roos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
