Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to M.O.P. - Ante Up. Mike Kick has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Kick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Lewis! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kick throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lewis tries for a takedown but Kick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kick throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lewis sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lewis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lewis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kick sees it coming and defends easily. Lewis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Lewis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kick tries to get out of the position. Kick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lewis is working away from the top position though. Kick on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lewis tries to pass to full mount but Kick defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lewis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lewis prevents Kick from improving his position.

Lewis prevents Kick from improving his position. Kick kicks Lewis off and gets back to his feet. Lewis closes the distance and clinches up with Kick, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes Kick against the cage but Kick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kick uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lewis. Lewis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lewis looks gassed! Lewis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kick pinned against the cage. Kick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mike Kick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Lewis.

It looks like Mark Lewis has been cut. Kick fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kick is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Lewis misses with a hook. Kick ducked under it nicely. Kick moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Lewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kick getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Lewis shoots in for a takedown but Kick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kick sizes up Lewis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lewis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A nice combination there by Kick.

Lewis throws a combination that misses The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Kick counters with a nice body shot. Kick drops his hands momentarily and Lewis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kick scores with a nice head shot. Lewis takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lewis cracks Kick with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lewis. Lewis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kick lands a slapping body shot.
Lewis takes one to the chin there. Lewis misses with a takedown attempt and Kick counters with a stiff right hand. Kick is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kick stalks Lewis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lewis's face. Lewis staggers backwards, shaken. Kick lands the left hand. Lewis has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Kick connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lewis's hands. Lewis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lewis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Kick dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mark Lewis's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kick as he avoids it easily. Lewis has a takedown stuffed. Mark Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lewis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mike Kick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Lewis. Kick lands a with a good body shot. Kick thuds a left hand into Lewis's body. Kick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kick wants it to stay on the feet. Kick stalks Lewis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lewis's face. Lewis staggers backwards, shaken. A punch lands to the side of Lewis 's head but he takes it in his stride. Lewis misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Left hook, right uppercut from Kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kick keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Lewis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kick jabs Lewis right on the nose. Lewis blinks but takes it well.

Lewis with a lazy takedown attempt and Kick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kick throws out a powerful jab. Kick keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A right-left combo lands from Kick. Kick cracks Lewis with an open hand slap. Lewis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kick counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kick uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lewis. Kick lands a jab to Lewis's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis moves forwards but Kick connects with a nice, crisp jab. Lewis misses the jab. Lewis has his takedown stuffed and Kick counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lewis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kick counters with a three punch combo that has Lewis backing up. Lewis nods at Kick to acknowledge the strikes. Lewis tries for a takedown but Kick circles away easily and Lewis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A right-left combo lands from Kick. Kick swinging wildly here.

and Kick counters with a lovely shot to the body. Lewis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kick circles away. Kick lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Lewis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lewis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Kick counter with a right hand. Lewis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kick avoids it really well and circles away. Kick scores with a nice strike. Lewis fails with a takedown attempt. Kick lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lewis backs up against the cage.

Lewis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lewis with a poor takedown and Kick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lewis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kick throws a leg kick but Lewis checks it. Lewis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lewis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Kick misses with a two punch combination.

Kick looks to land a right hand but Lewis moved out of range. Kick slaps away a takedown attempt from Lewis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lewis walks into a straight right hand from Kick. Lewis throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A big left from Lewis misses. Kick scores with a hook to the body. Lewis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lewis shoots and misses and Kick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kick digs a good body shot into Lewis's ribs. Kick throws a good cross that connects.
Lewis misses with a takedown and Kick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lewis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lewis somewhat. Lewis has a takedown stuffed. Lewis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kick stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Lewis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No joy there for Kick, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lewis is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag. Kick keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lewis. Horrible takedown by Lewis or perhaps it was just good defense by Kick which made him look bad. Lewis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kick connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lewis tries to move into range but Kick moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kick moves out of range of the strikes. Good shot there by Lewis. Lewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mike Kick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kick looks to land a combination. Lewis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kick throws a one two combo.
Kick works the jab nicely. Lewis misses with a looping left. Kick lands a nice looking body shot.
Kick bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lewis's head backwards. Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kick's waist but Kick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kick throws a wild body kick that Lewis sees coming a mile off. Lewis misses with a jab to the body
and Kick counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mark Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kick lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lewis backs up against the cage.
Lewis is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Kick lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Kick counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kick darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lewis throws a sloppy body shot
and Kick counters with a stiff right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Kick showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
