Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Hades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AHIGA OTAKTAY (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OTAKTAY has chosen Tomahawk - War Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. AHIGA OTAKTAY is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Apollo Hades!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, AHIGA OTAKTAY!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OTAKTAY fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hades manages to avoid it.
OTAKTAY dodges the punch combination from Hades.
Hades misses with the combination.
A head kick from OTAKTAY lands but Hades takes it in his stride.
Hades moves out of range as OTAKTAY throws a body kick.
Hades tries to clinch up but OTAKTAY circles away and keeps his distance.
Hades misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hades closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hades trying to control from half guard but OTAKTAY is working away.
OTAKTAY is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hades's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hades's back!

OTAKTAY controlling the position well here. Hades rolled but OTAKTAY kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
OTAKTAY controlling the position well here. Hades rolled but OTAKTAY kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Hades right now.
Hades just trying to survive but OTAKTAY is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Will OTAKTAY go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but AHIGA OTAKTAY will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


OTAKTAY throws a sloppy head kick and Hades moves out of range easily.
Hades throws a jab when OTAKTAY was well out of range.
Hades wants to slow OTAKTAY down by chopping away at his legs.
OTAKTAY throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Hades drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hades stopping the sweep attempt from OTAKTAY.
Hades is looking to advance position but OTAKTAY has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

OTAKTAY content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
OTAKTAY prevents Hades from getting the reversal.
OTAKTAY looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hades tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
OTAKTAY tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hades is desperately trying to improve his position but OTAKTAY has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Apollo Hades will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


OTAKTAY throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hades tries to bum rush OTAKTAY with a series of wild strikes but OTAKTAY uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big left from OTAKTAY misses.
Hades scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
OTAKTAY falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hades counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A right-left combo lands from OTAKTAY.
Hades tries to clinch up but OTAKTAY circles away and keeps his distance.
Hades displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hades tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
OTAKTAY lands with a thumping leg kick.
OTAKTAY showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hades.
Hades tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
OTAKTAY lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hades swings away with a body shot that misses
and OTAKTAY counters with a nice leg kick.

Hades throws a right and a left that OTAKTAY avoids nicely.
Hades misses with a series of wild punches.
OTAKTAY attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hades throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hades misses with a combination
and OTAKTAY finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hades with a lazy takedown attempt
and OTAKTAY counters with a flying knee. Nice.
OTAKTAY misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
OTAKTAY throws a head kick but Hades moves out of range.
Hades has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
OTAKTAY lands a jab to Hades's midsection.
Both fighters circling a little - OTAKTAY finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
OTAKTAY lands with a nice combination. Hades backs away looking to recover.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hades takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
OTAKTAY getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

OTAKTAY lands a left and a right that send Hades crashing to the mat, dazed. OTAKTAY thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Hades is rocked!
AHIGA OTAKTAY is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A head kick by OTAKTAY - that's a beauty! Hades is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even OTAKTAY can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). AHIGA OTAKTAY!
