Yonkers comes to the cage accompanied by In For The Kill. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonkers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yonkers wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.

Yonkers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yonkers tries to stall but Johnson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Yonkers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Yonkers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Yonkers has his takedown stuffed

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Yonkers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Yonkers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson!

Johnson is wriggling around trying to escape.

Yonkers is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yonkers.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Yonkers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Yonkers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Yonkers closes the distance looking to clinch

so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yonkers is adopting a defensive guard.

Yonkers controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.

Yonkers is looking to sinch up a triangle. Johnson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Yonkers's body to avoid the submission. Yonkers has instead reached around Johnson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Yonkers arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jeff Yonkers!
