The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers closes the distance and clinches up with Moilanen, looking for a takedown. Myers pushes Moilanen against the cage but Moilanen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Myers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Moilanen tries to clinch up but Myers circles away and keeps his distance.
Myers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moilanen avoids it really well and circles away.
Teijo Moilanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Myers.

and Myers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Myers.
Moilanen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Myers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Myers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Moilanen is looking to sweep but instead, Myers has passed into half guard.

Moilanen wants to improve his position but Myers is controlling well.
Moilanen misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Myers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moilanen defends it well.
Moilanen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Myers is working away from the top position though.
Moilanen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Myers on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Myers seems to be working for a kimura but Moilanen defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
