Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Urijah Samuels! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bombs tests Samuels's chin there with a solid looking shot. Samuels gets the takedown into side control. Samuels wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bombs, who protects the arm well. Samuels working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. He might have it! No, Bombs has escaped the position, nice work there. Bombs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bombs gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Samuels wants to finish this one by submission but Bombs is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Samuels. Bombs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Samuels goes for an armbar but Bombs turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bombs. Bombs wants to stand but Samuels has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bombs wants to control from the top but Samuels keeps moving. Samuels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bombs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bombs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bombs trying to control the position from guard on top but Samuels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuels looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Samuels manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bombs is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Samuels has control of Bombs's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bombs regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samuels wants to finish this one by submission but Bombs is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Samuels. Samuels is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bombs has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bombs! Bombs won't allow Samuels to sweep him here. Bombs wants to stand but Samuels has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Urijah Samuels dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bombs tries a head kick but it misses.
Samuels misses with a double jab.
Bombs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bombs throws and low kick but Samuels moves out of range easily. Samuels gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Samuels is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Samuels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bombs is in trouble now - Samuels has advanced to mount! Samuels working for a guillotine from mount but Bombs is in no mood to give up. Bombs is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Bombs defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Samuels. Bombs tries to lock up and control but Samuels gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Samuels has hold of Bombs's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bombs manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Samuels is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samuels looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Samuels wants to finish this one by submission but Bombs is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Samuels. Bombs sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Samuels stops Bombs from getting back to his feet.
Samuels is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuels in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bombs tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Samuels!
