Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hitoshi Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hitoshi Masaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin moves in looking to clinch but Masaru pushes him off.
Marvin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marvin wants it to stay on the feet.
Marvin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Masaru tries to clinch but Marvin is having none of it.
Marvin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Masaru dives in and grabs Marvin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marvin pushes down on Masaru's head and hops out.
Marvin blocks a leg kick.
Masaru swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Masaru fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marvin tries to clinch up.
Marvin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Masaru shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marvin as he avoids it easily.

Marvin takes a swing at Masaru's ribcage but misses.
Masaru gets caught flat footed, as Marvin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Marvin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masaru swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Masaru tries to buck Marvin off but Marvin is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Marvin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Masaru goes for a takedown in the clinch but Marvin prevents it.
Marvin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Marvin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Masaru blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from Marvin.
Marvin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Masaru backwards.
Marvin scores with a shot to the side of Masaru's head.
Marvin pushes Masaru back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Marvin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Masaru backwards.
Masaru gets control of Marvin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Masaru will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masaru is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Marvin dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marvin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Masaru sprawls well initially but Marvin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marvin prevents Masaru from improving his position.
Masaru on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Masaru tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Marvin has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Marvin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Masaru can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Masaru tries to hold on but Marvin pushes him away.
Masaru is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marvin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Masaru looks a forlorn figure.

Marvin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
