Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Hulak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcell Brice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brayden Hulak has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brayden Hulak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcell Brice! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brice leaves Hulak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Marcell Brice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brice throws a front kick that sends Hulak stumbling back into the cage. Brice looks to land a combination but Hulak avoids it well. Brice looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hulak! Brice misses with a head shot. Hulak's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Hulak holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Brice tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hulak wants to hold on but Brice pushes him away. Brice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hulak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hulak wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
A nice elbow there by Brice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brice working the ground and pound effectively.
Brice lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Brice connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hulak keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hulak regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brice thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brice is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hulak wants to get back to his feet.
Hulak gets back to full guard.
Hulak preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brice working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Brice is in close to Hulak's body, working some short punches and elbows. Brice won't allow Hulak to get back to his feet. Hulak looking for a sweep. Not yet Hulak, not yet. Brice trying to control but Hulak is working from the bottom. Hulak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brice accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hulak really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hulak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brice doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brice manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brice is looking to work some ground and pound but Hulak has wrist control. Brice with a flurry of punches that miss. Brice is working Hulak over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Brice working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hulak's head. Brice trying to control the position from guard on top but Hulak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brice is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hulak has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Brice is looking to defend but Hulak has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Brice! Hulak pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Brice taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Brayden Hulak!
