PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julle Bulle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane lands with an overhand left.
Bulle shoots in looking for a takedown. Kane tries to sprawl out of it but Bulle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bulle shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bulle showed some decent athleticism there.

Bulle is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kane has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kane wants to get back to his feet.
Kane trying to control from the bottom.
Bulle trying to control the action but Kane is working from the bottom.
Kane looks gassed!
Kane tries to get to full guard but Bulle has control of the leg.

Bulle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kane defends it well.

Kane looking for a sweep. Not yet Kane, not yet.

Bulle has gone for a leg lock! Kane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bulle's guard.

Bulle looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kane passes into side control.

Bulle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kane thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bulle tries to buck Kane off but Kane is having none of it.
Bulle sneaks back into half guard.
Bulle trying to hold on to Kane's head to control him but Kane postures up.
Kane moves nicely into side control.
Kane wants to control but Bulle is keeping him busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kane tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bulle is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kane's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bulle is looking to control Kane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bulle avoid being mounted?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bulle tries to roll over but Kane keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Kane will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kane throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bulle.
Bulle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kane.
Kane is looking to clinch but Bulle is avoiding it.

Kane gets caught flat footed, as Bulle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bulle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bulle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bulle tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard.
Bulle trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bulle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bulle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kane looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kane looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kane!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bulle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bulle tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kane presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kane avoids the attempt from Bulle to control.
Bulle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kane landing punches.
Bulle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bulle is looking to improve his position but Kane isn't that keen on the idea.
Bulle tries to hold on but Kane pushes him away.

Bulle regains half guard.
Bulle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Bulle is looking for a triangle but Kane pushes his legs off easily.

Kane is sitting in close to Bulle's body. Bulle has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kane is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kane is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bulle.
