Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig McDaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig McDaniel! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDaniel fails in his attempt to clinch. Hayes throws a head kick that McDaniel semi-blocks.
McDaniel shoots for a double leg takedown but Hayes sprawls well. He's pushed McDaniel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Horrible takedown by McDaniel or perhaps it was just good defense by Hayes which made him look bad. Hayes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McDaniel. Lucas Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig McDaniel. Hayes takes a swing at McDaniel's ribcage but misses. Hayes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McDaniel but McDaniel pushes him off and we're back to square one. McDaniel lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Lucas Hayes has been cut. McDaniel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hayes to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hayes stays in close to McDaniel's body and controls the position. Hayes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McDaniel, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. McDaniel is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.
Hayes scores a takedown into full mount! Hayes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hayes cracks McDaniel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hayes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hayes goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McDaniel is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hayes is breathing heavily. McDaniel's corner is telling him to maintain position. McDaniel trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McDaniel misses with a takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Hayes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McDaniel's half guard. McDaniel is looking to improve his position.
McDaniel tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Hayes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. McDaniel looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McDaniel is refusing to be controlled, as Hayes sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDaniel works his way to full guard. Good work. Hayes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hayes wants to pass the guard but McDaniel is keeping the position. McDaniel throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hayes wants to stand but McDaniel is controlling his posture from full guard. Hayes stands up and waves to McDaniel to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Hayes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lucas Hayes's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
McDaniel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McDaniel showed some decent athleticism there. Hayes is not content to let McDaniel control the position. Hayes strikes from the bottom but McDaniel uses the opportunity to move to side control.
The ground and pound from McDaniel seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes is looking to reverse the position. A lull in the action here as McDaniel stalls from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hayes throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Hayes is trying to escape and get back to his feet. McDaniel tries to advance to mount but Hayes denies him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hayes keeps the fight on the outside. McDaniel with a poor takedown and Hayes counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hayes stands up and beckons McDaniel to his feet. McDaniel tries for a takedown but Hayes circles away easily and Hayes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hayes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice sprawl there from McDaniel as Hayes shoots in. McDaniel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hayes counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lucas Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig McDaniel. Hayes trying to stand up but can't free himself from McDaniel's guard. McDaniel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes is in close to McDaniel's body, working some short punches and elbows. McDaniel trying to control the position.
McDaniel is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hayes throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McDaniel's body to avoid the submission. McDaniel has instead reached around Hayes's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McDaniel arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Craig McDaniel!
