Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karl Denke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Denke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Junior!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior looks to land a combination but Denke avoids it well.
Denke throws a looping overhand right but Junior ducks down to avoid it.
Denke avoids a punch combination nicely.

Junior gets caught flat footed, as Denke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Denke working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Denke working some strikes from top position.
Denke stops Junior from standing up.

Denke thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Denke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Junior keeping full guard, as Denke tries to pass.
Denke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Denke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Denke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Junior.

David Junior is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Denke moves forwards but Junior connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Denke is defended easily by Junior.

Denke closes the distance and clinches up with Junior, looking for a takedown. Denke pushes Junior against the cage but Junior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Junior gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Denke lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Denke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Denke prevents Junior from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Denke slips a jab and a cross from Junior.

Junior stalks Denke and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Denke's face. Denke staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Denke shoots for a double leg takedown but Junior sprawls well. He's pushed Denke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Denke takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Junior lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Denke circles away quickly and effectively.

and Denke counters with a single leg into guard. Junior didn't expect that.
Denke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Junior is breathing heavily.
Denke is looking to work some ground and pound but Junior has wrist control.

Denke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
