Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between sparts lx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and High Voltage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voltage closes the distance and clinches up with lx, looking for a takedown. Voltage pushes lx against the cage but lx circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Voltage keeps the fight on the outside.

and Voltage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Voltage must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Voltage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Voltage is trying to stand up here but lx is controlling him well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Voltage has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. lx is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Voltage connects with a nice short shot to lx's temple.

Voltage moves into full mount! lx won't be happy about that!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Voltage won't let lx get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Voltage lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

lx utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
lx has his feet on Voltage's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
lx closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Voltage is looking for a sweep. lx is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
lx wants to take a breather but Voltage is having none of it.

Voltage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Voltage.
lx looking to sit in guard and control but Voltage gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
lx manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Voltage is desperately trying to improve his position but lx has a good base and remains in mount.

lx can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Voltage is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
lx wants to control the pace but Voltage is squirming around nicely.
Voltage sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

sparts lx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
High Voltage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Voltage pushes lx off and gets back to his feet.

High Voltage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
