Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alberta Wrecking Machine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Cameron! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cameron leaves Machine with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cameron looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cameron sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Machine defending well though. Cameron wants to take a breather but Machine is having none of it. Machine avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cameron. Cameron missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cameron sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Machine defending well though. Cameron thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cameron missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Machine blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cameron.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cameron closes the distance and clinches. Cameron has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Machine clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Machine can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cameron is striking well from the back but Machine escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Machine trying to control from the bottom.
Cameron thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Machine's head. Machine tries to kick Cameron off but Cameron keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cameron wants to take a breather but Machine is having none of it. Cameron thows a huge punch but Machine dodges it nicely.
Machine gets back to full guard.
Cameron throws a sloppy strike and Machine has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Cameron is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Machine!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alberta Wrecking Machine!
