Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punchy McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Punchy McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Dantes! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dantes avoids the head kick by McGee.
McGee moves into the clinch. A nice left hand lands by McGee.
Dantes jumps guard but McGee stands there with Dantes around his waist. Dantes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McGee lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dantes backwards. McGee blocks an elbow strike from Dantes.
McGee can't break the clinch.
McGee wants to get back to striking at distance but Dantes won't allow it.
McGee lands a hook to the side of the head. McGee manages to break the clinch.
McGee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dantes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. McGee scores with a sloppy right hand. Dantes should have avoided that one. Dantes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dantes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGee tries to avoid it but Dantes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGee to the ground. McGee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Punchy McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Dantes. Dantes looks to land a combination but McGee avoids it well. McGee moves away from the strike by Dantes. A nice combination there by McGee.

Dantes is rocked! Punchy McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGee closes the distance and clinches. Dantes prevents McGee from breaking the clinch. McGee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McGee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGee throws a right and a left that both miss. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dantes. McGee takes the fight into the clinch. McGee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dantes.
Dantes throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McGee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dantes or not. Dantes looks gassed! McGee lands an uppercut. McGee scores with an uppercut up the middle. Dantes goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dantes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McGee has him pressed against the cage. McGee scores with a shot to the side of Dantes's head. McGee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McGee digs a good body shot into Dantes's ribs. McGee tests Dantes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dantes tries to keep at a distance but McGee has taken the fight into the clinch. Dantes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McGee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McGee breaks the clinch.
McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dantes moves away. Punchy McGee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dantes looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dantes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dantes blocks a head kick by McGee.
McGee keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGee forces Dantes back against the cage and clinches. Dantes tries to pull guard but McGee won't allow it.
McGee can't break the clinch.
Dantes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dantes wants a takedown.
Dantes is looking to control McGee's arms but McGee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dantes has his back to the cage. Dantes fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dantes is trying to break free. Still in the clinch, McGee scores with a nice short uppercut. Dantes wants a takedown but no success here.
Dantes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGee gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McGee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dantes throws a push kick but McGee slaps the foot to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dantes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. McGee jabs at Dantes's body. McGee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dantes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McGee could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dantes drops his hands momentarily and McGee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. McGee scores with the left hand. Dantes knows he should have avoided that one. McGee cracks a nice hook into Dantes's ribs. The crowd cheers as McGee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dantes doesn't seem phased though. Dantes wants to clinch up but McGee keeps it at a distance. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dantes. McGee lands a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McGee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGee throws an off balance right hand
and Dantes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McGee's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dantes working some strikes from top position. Dantes gets to his feet. McGee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Dantes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McGee. Dantes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGee tries to avoid it but Dantes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGee to the ground. McGee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McGee throws a series of strikes that have Dantes backpedaling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGee waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Dantes. McGee tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dantes counters with a nice double leg into guard. Dantes sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dantes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McGee looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Punchy McGee dominated that round. That's time! McGee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McGee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Punchy McGee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice body punch from Dantes. McGee lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dantes backs up against the cage.
McGee tries to clinch up. Dantes misses with a looping left. McGee wants to clinch up but Dantes keeps it at a distance. Dantes has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. McGee scores with a sloppy right hand. Dantes should have avoided that one. Dantes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dantes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Dantes shoots in but no luck this time. Punchy McGee is winning the standup battle so far. Dantes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McGee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McGee scores with a three punch combo!
McGee is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Dantes is looking to clinch but McGee is avoiding it.

Dantes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dantes showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dantes is taking a breather. McGee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dantes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Dantes perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. McGee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McGee is trying to stand back up but Dantes is controlling him
Dantes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGee is just riding it out for now. Dantes eventually gives up the hold. Dantes has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McGee tries to hold on but Dantes postures up. Dantes working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dantes is standing up, even though he is in mount. Dantes pushes McGee up against the cage in a clinch. McGee scores with a hook to the body. McGee breaks the clinch.
McGee misses with a double jab
and Dantes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McGee's guard now. McGee wants to stand but Dantes is controlling the position. Dantes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dantes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McGee tries to get out of the position. Dantes gets to his feet. McGee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A left lands for McGee. A jab lands there for McGee. Dantes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dantes prevents McGee from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Dantes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

and McGee counters into the clinch. Nicely done. McGee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dantes swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee. McGee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Dantes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McGee! McGee wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dantes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dantes with good strikes from the mount here! Dantes thowing shots but they're missing. McGee keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McGee is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dantes wants to control the action but instead McGee gets a body lock and reverses into Dantes's guard! Nice work! McGee wants to stand but Dantes has a closed guard, so he can't escape. James Dantes has got the better of the ground game so far. Dantes has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes McGee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Dantes closes the distance and clinches. Dantes manages to break the clinch.
McGee is looking to land body kicks. Dantes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGee.
McGee misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. McGee takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Punchy McGee has been cut. Dantes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGee tries to clinch up but Dantes circles away and keeps his distance. Dantes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McGee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Dantes to counter with a crisp jab. McGee throws a series of punches but Dantes avoids them all with ease. Dantes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGee but McGee pushes him off and we're back to square one. Punchy McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Dantes. McGee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dantes tries for a takedown but McGee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McGee tries to land a body kick and Dantes counters with a good low kick that McGee was not able to check. McGee thuds a left hand into Dantes's body. Jab by McGee. McGee misses with a combination
and Dantes counters with a flying knee. Nice. Dantes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Dantes fails with the takedown. Dantes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dantes throws a looping overhand right but McGee ducks down to avoid it. Nice takedown defense from McGee. No joy for Dantes on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dantes misses with a takedown attempt and McGee counters with a two punch combo. McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dantes swats him away and circles back towards the center. McGee darts in trying to clinch and Dantes counters with a big head kick but McGee shrugs it off. Dantes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McGee lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
McGee's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and McGee duly obliges. Dantes has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Dantes swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee. McGee takes the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGee is trying to break free. McGee breaks from the clinch.
McGee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fight stays on the outside here - Dantes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McGee cracks Dantes with an open hand slap. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dantes shoots in looking for a takedown. McGee tries to sprawl out of it but Dantes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dantes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Dantes moves into the clinch successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Punchy McGee. I think McGee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
