The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burcham closes the distance and clinches up with Mayhem, looking for a takedown. Burcham pushes Mayhem against the cage but Mayhem circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mayhem swats away the attempt to clinch by Burcham.
Burcham fails with a takedown attempt.
Mayhem cracks Burcham with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Burcham shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mayhem sprawls well. Mayhem wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burcham gets slowly back to his feet.

Burcham is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mayhem has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Burcham shoots for a takedown but Mayhem saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burcham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mayhem has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Mayhem might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Burcham lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mayhem has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mayhem and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
