Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Battle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Break Stuff. Spencer has chosen Banana Joe Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Andre Battle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bud Spencer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andre Battle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bud Spencer! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battle misses the shot to the body. Battle slips a jab from Spencer. Spencer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Spencer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Spencer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The ground and pound from Spencer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Battle is trying to get back to his feet. Spencer is looking to take a break and control but Battle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Battle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Battle can't do much from the bottom here. Battle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Spencer off and has taken his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Spencer is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Spencer staying busy and making it hard for Battle to control. Battle doesn't have the hooks in and Spencer manages to turn into his guard.
Spencer is looking to work some ground and pound but Battle has wrist control. Battle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spencer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Battle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Spencer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Spencer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Battle working for submissions but it's allowed Spencer to get to half guard.
Spencer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Battle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Battle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Spencer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Battle gets full guard. Spencer slips nicely into half guard. Spencer working over Battle with some ground and pound. Battle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Battle is looking to improve his position.

Spencer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Spencer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Battle is not content to let Spencer control the position. Spencer is working Battle over with some ground and pound from side control. Battle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Spencer off and has taken his back! Spencer is keeping busy.
Spencer just trying to survive but Battle is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spencer is in bad spot here.

Battle ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Andre Battle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Battle is looking to clinch. Spencer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Battle lands a really nice looking cross but Spencer seems unphased.

That's one minute gone in the round. Spencer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Battle. Battle thows a body shot but no joy. Battle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spencer clinches up with Battle and pushes him back against the cage. Spencer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Battle backwards. Battle is trying to force a seperation but Spencer has the dominant position. Battle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Battle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spencer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Battle takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Spencer jabbing away but nothing is landing. Spencer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Battle moves away. Spencer throws a shot from downtown. Battle moves away and avoids it. Spencer on the wrong end of a nice jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spencer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Andre Battle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Spencer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Battle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Battle struggling a bit here. Battle gets back to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Battle is trying to buck Spencer off. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spencer cracks Battle with an elbow. That is naaassty. Battle taking punishment in the form of punches.
Battle struggling a bit here. Spencer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Battle some visible discomfort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Battle sneaks back into half guard. Spencer scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Battle is pressing down on Spencer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Spencer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Spencer thows a big elbow that misses. Battle wants to sweep here but Spencer controlling him for the moment. Spencer with a flurry of punches that miss. Battle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spencer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Spencer wants to control from the top but Battle keeps moving. Spencer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Andre Battle will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Battle scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Spencer lands a with a good body shot. Spencer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Battle has his takedown stuffed and Spencer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Spencer tries to clinch but Battle moves out of range. Spencer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Spencer clinches up with Battle and pushes him back against the cage. Spencer lands a hook that snaps the head of Battle backwards. Spencer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Spencer takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Spencer makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Battle is rocked! Battle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Spencer lands a left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spencer stalling.

Spencer digs a right hand into Battle's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Battle's gas tank. Battle throws a head punch that misses. Spencer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Battle backwards. Oh Battle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Spencer cracks Battle with a nice body shot. Battle seems to have got his legs back now. Battle is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Nice body punch from Spencer - that landed with a thud.

Bud Spencer seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Spencer working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Spencer works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Spencer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Battle looking to throw knees to the head but Spencer is blocking nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Battle has had enough of the clinch but Spencer keeps him there for the moment. Spencer pushes Battle back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Spencer stalling against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Bud Spencer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spencer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
