Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dag Guti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Led Zeppelin: Kashmir. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Sergei Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dag Guti! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guti scores a takedown into full mount! Emelianenko is trying desperately to improve position. Guti misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Not this time. Guti is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Guti pulls his head out easily. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Guti seems to be working for a kimura but Emelianenko defends the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Emelianenko misses with a few strikes there.

Guti is fighting off a takedown attempt but Emelianenko is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Guti to the mat. Guti regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sergei Emelianenko dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Guti shoots and misses and Emelianenko counters by clinching up. Emelianenko jumps guard and drags Guti to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Guti avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Guti decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Emelianenko, up you get! Dag Guti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guti takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
