Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksander Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in and bounces Savage off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Emelianenko won't allow Savage to get back to his feet.
Emelianenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Emelianenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Savage is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Emelianenko defends well.

Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Emelianenko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Savage has his foot on Emelianenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Emelianenko works his way back into a safe position though.
Savage wants to stand but Emelianenko is controlling the position.

Savage is breathing heavily.
Emelianenko has gone for a leg lock! Savage slips out almost immediately though and dives into Emelianenko's guard.

Emelianenko working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Savage has passed into half guard!

Emelianenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Savage is working away from the top position though.
Savage seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Emelianenko is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
