Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allistair Overeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dan Hardy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allistair Overeen! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardy lands a big right hand that sends Overeen crashing to the mat! Hardy stays standing though and waves Overeen back to his feet!
Overeen is rocked!
It looks like Allistair Overeen has been cut. Hardy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Overeen. Overeen is still on wobbly legs! Can Hardy finish him? Overeen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hardy throws a right and a left that both miss. Hardy misses with a double jab.

Overeen shoots in but Hardy avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hardy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Overeen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hardy misses with the combination.
Overeen seems to have recovered his senses. Hardy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Overeen. Horrible takedown by Overeen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hardy which made him look bad. Overeen moves out of range of the leg kick from Hardy. Overeen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hardy as he avoids it easily. Dan Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Allistair Overeen. Hardy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Overeen circles away quickly and effectively. Hardy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fighters roll with the hold and Overeen manages to kick Hardy off! Hardy jumps back into Overeen's guard. Hardy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hardy throws a hook but Overeen blocks it. Overeen misses with a takedown attempt - Hardy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Overeen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hardy but Hardy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hardy misses with a jab, cross combination.

Overeen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hardy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Overeen gets the takedown into side control. Hardy wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Overeen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Hardy tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Overeen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hardy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hardy wants it to stay on the feet. Hardy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Overeen. Overeen closes the distance and pushes Hardy back into the ropes. Hardy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Overeen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hardy walks away with a smile on his face. Overeen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Overeen moves into range and clinches up with Hardy. A frustrated look appears on Hardy's face as he tries to break the clinch. Overeen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hardy pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hardy has had enough of the clinch but Overeen keeps him there for the moment.
