Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blaine Podkowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alk SG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Podkowa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is F**k them all. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SG is looking to clinch.
SG shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Podkowa defends it nicely.
SG closes the distance and clinches up with Podkowa , looking for a takedown. SG pushes Podkowa against the cage but Podkowa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
SG shoots in and drives through. Podkowa sprawls well.
Blaine Podkowa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alk SG.
SG fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
SG shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Podkowa as he avoids it easily.

and SG counters with a nice double leg into side control. Podkowa won't be happy with that.
Podkowa manages to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Podkowa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Podkowa is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but SG frees his head nicely. Oh but Podkowa has switched to an armbar! SG is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
