Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pihl throws a sloppy head kick and Benoit moves out of range easily.
Benoit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pihl.
Pihl uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Benoit.
Pihl throws a nice looking combination but Benoit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pihl blocks a jab.
Pihl ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Michael Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pihl throws the left hand but Benoit avoids the punch easily.
Benoit throws an overhand right that lands on Pihl's shoulder, as Pihl tries to avoid the shot.
Pihl has a takedown stuffed.
Pihl looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benoit throws a nice looking combination but Pihl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pihl shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Benoit as he jumps to the side.
Michael Benoit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralle Pihl.

Benoit throws a series of punches but Pihl avoids them all with ease.

Benoit scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pihl takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Benoit fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Benoit connects with a superb combination that knocks Pihl out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Benoit before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Pihl!
