PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieron King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khalidov comes into the arena with Gigi D' Agostino- Blablabla blaring out of the sound system. King has chosen Men at Work - Land Down Under as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King moves into the clinch.
King looking to throw knees to the head but Khalidov is blocking nicely.
Khalidov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Khalidov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Khalidov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from King misses.
Khalidov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts King as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Khalidov on that attempt.
King misses with a head kick.
Khalidov connects with a single shot there.

King shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than King was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
King working the ground and pound effectively.
King with shots to the head and body - Khalidov looks very uncomfortable down there.
King prevents Khalidov from getting the reversal.
King breaks from Khalidov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
King postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Khalidov looks a forlorn figure.

Khalidov is rocked!

Khalidov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Oh Khalidov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khalidov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! King's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
