Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Hutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hutz comes to the cage accompanied by Wonderlust King. Josh Pulver looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eugene Hutz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Pulver! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hutz tries to clinch but Pulver is having none of it. Pulver looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hutz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hutz tries to close the distance and clinch but Pulver swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hutz shoots in and drives through. Pulver sprawls well. Hutz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pulver swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hutz fails with a takedown attempt. Hutz is looking to clinch but Pulver is avoiding it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hutz blocks a head kick by Pulver.
Pulver lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Pulver misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hutz staying out of range there. Hutz tries to clinch up. Pulver shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pulver seems to be looking for submissions.
Hutz is looking to control Pulver's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hutz avoid being mounted? Hutz is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The fighters are battling for position here. Hutz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pulver looking to pass the guard. Hutz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pulver drops back looking for a leg! Hutz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hutz manages to kick Pulver off! Pulver jumps back into Hutz's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hutz misses with a takedown attempt and Pulver counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hutz is lucky that one didn't land flush. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugene Hutz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hutz tries to clinch up. Hutz tries to clinch up but Pulver circles away and keeps his distance. Hutz tries to clinch and Pulver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hutz's guard. Hutz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hutz wants to stand up but Pulver is controlling him. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pulver is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hutz trying to control but Pulver is having none of it. Hutz controlling his opponent. Hutz has hold of Pulver's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pulver manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Pulver is squirming around, avoiding Hutz's attempts to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pulver keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Pulver dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hutz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hutz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pulver is breathing heavily. Pulver stops Hutz from standing up. Hutz working a defensive guard here.

Hutz keeping moving, preventing Pulver from controlling successfully. Hutz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pulver on the ground. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hutz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pulver counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hutz! Hutz can't escape the position.

Josh Pulver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Pulver tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hutz wants to get up but he can't break Pulver's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pulver looking for a sweep. Not yet Pulver, not yet. Hutz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pulver has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hutz has managed to get both his arms back between Pulver's legs - danger averted.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hutz wants to clinch but Pulver slips to the side and Pulver counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hutz won't be happy with that. Hutz prevents Pulver from improving position. Pulver looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulver tries for a kimura but Hutz is defending well. Pulver is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hutz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pulver tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Pulver trying to control the action but Hutz is working from the bottom. Eugene Hutz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hutz fails in his attempt to clinch. Eugene Hutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pulver keeps the fight on the outside. Hutz misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pulver throws a head kick that misses. Pulver swats away the attempt to clinch by Hutz. Hutz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pulver circles away from the clinch attempt and Pulver counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hutz tries to clinch and Pulver counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pulver is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Josh Pulver is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hutz trying to strike off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Josh Pulver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pulver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
