Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joan Moze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Robbie Lawler has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie Lawler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joan Moze! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawler throws a nice looking combination but Moze bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Moze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lawler but Lawler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Moze misses with a takedown attempt - Lawler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Moze tries to close the distance and clinch but Lawler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Moze gets a takedown into half guard. Moze throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lawler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Moze trying to control from half guard but Lawler is working away. Moze is stalling here. Lawler is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Moze seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lawler has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawler stands up. Moze changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lawler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ground and pound from Moze seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Lawler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Moze. Moze is trying to get an arm triangle but Lawler is defending well. Moze misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moze is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lawler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Moze looks gassed! Moze working the strikes but Lawler uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Lawler tries to kick Moze off but Moze keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Moze is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lawler sees it coming and defends easily. Lawler kicks off Moze and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lawler keeps the fight on the outside. Lawler connects with a nice looking jab.
Lawler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moze. Robbie Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lawler throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Lawler throws a right and a left that both miss. Moze tries to clinch up. Moze feints and as Lawler raises his hands in defense, Moze changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Moze sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lawler keeping moving, preventing Moze from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joan Moze dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moze scores a takedown into full mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Moze throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Moze missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lawler is defending against the submission attempts here by Moze.
Lawler wants to get back to his feet. Moze has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Moze thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Moze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lawler's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lawler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Moze throwing shots but Lawler is blocking nicely. Moze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Joan Moze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A combination from Lawler does no damage. Moze takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Moze closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Moze looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lawler is avoiding damage well.
Moze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lawler keeps working. Moze in side control, throwing shots but Lawler defends. Lawler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moze on the ground. An elbow from Moze crashes against the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Moze throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moze works to advance to full mount. Lawler defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Moze misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
