The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclovin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from bjj.
bjj shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mclovin pinned against the cage. Mclovin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mclovin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
bjj throws a looping overhand right but Mclovin ducks down to avoid it.
Mclovin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. bjj defends it nicely.
Mclovin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mclovin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. bjj gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mclovin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Mclovin counters with a series of strikes. bjj will be more careful next time no doubt.

Mclovin tries for a takedown but bjj manages to get underhooks.

bjj fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mclovin sprawls well initially but bjj persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
bjj is looking for a kimura but Mclovin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for bjj to get the leverage.

Mclovin is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but bjj is staying active.

bjj is keen to just control but Mclovin is a slippery customer.

bjj is taking a breather. Mclovin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

bjj is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mclovin 's half guard.
bjj is breathing heavily.
bjj is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mclovin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time bjj.

bjj is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mclovin is just riding it out for now. bjj eventually gives up the hold.
