Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Drunk Mexican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drunk Mexican!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Cantu!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Mexican.
Mexican scores with a one two! Cantu had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Cantu shoots in looking for a takedown. Mexican tries to sprawl out of it but Cantu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mexican manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cantu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mexican sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Mexican. That snapped Cantu's head back.
Drunk Mexican seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cantu is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mexican.

Mexican stalks Cantu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cantu's face. Cantu staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Leo Cantu has been cut.
Mexican throws a head kick that misses.
Mexican looks to land a combination but Cantu avoids it well.
Some wild striking there from Mexican.
Mexican thumps Cantu with a low kick.
Cantu closes the distance and clinches up with Mexican, looking for a takedown. Cantu pushes Mexican against the cage but Mexican circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cantu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mexican pinned against the cage. Mexican gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mexican lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cantu backs up against the cage.
Mexican will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A nice leg kick lands there from Mexican.
Cantu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mexican dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cantu. That did some damage!
Mexican throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cantu.
Mexican lands with a kick to the temple. Cantu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Mexican moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mexican lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Mexican goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mexican lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cantu backs up against the cage.
Cantu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mexican counters with a one-two to the body.
Cantu takes a kick to the side of the head.
Cantu is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mexican is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cantu.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cantu.
The strikes coming from Cantu are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Mexican tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cantu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mexican throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Mexican is pushing Cantu's head away, looking to escape. Cantu manages to hold on to the position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cantu is trying to get an arm triangle but Mexican is defending well.
Cantu throws an elbow but Mexican slips to the side and avoids it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cantu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mexican lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mexican.
Cantu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Cantu shoots for a takedown but Mexican saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mexican misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cantu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Cantu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cantu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mexican is fending him off so far but Cantu persists. Nope, Mexican circles away and we're back to standing.

Cantu shoots for a takedown but Mexican saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cantu dives in and grabs Mexican's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mexican pushes down on Cantu's head and hops out.
Drunk Mexican has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Cantu.
Cantu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mexican lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mexican throws a head kick that half lands.
Mexican throws a head kick but Cantu moves out of range.
Mexican misses with a few strikes there.

Cantu has managed to clinch.
Cantu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mexican is pressed up against the cage. Cantu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mexican down to the mat. Mexican avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cantu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mexican lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mexican stuffs the takedown attempt from Cantu. Cantu gets slowly back to his feet.
Cantu doesn't manage to clinch there - Mexican circles away.

Mexican moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Drunk Mexican is winning the standup battle so far.
Mexican sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Mexican throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mexican tries to bum rush Cantu with a series of wild strikes but Cantu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cantu rushes Mexican and presses him up against the cage.

Cantu has clasped his hands together around Mexican's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Cantu misses with the ground and pound.

Cantu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mexican is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cantu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mexican is looking to regain half guard here but Cantu keeps moving and retains side control.
Cantu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
You can see the frustration on Mexican's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mexican is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cantu connects with a decent elbow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cantu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mexican, who protects the arm well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Cantu tries to bum rush Mexican with a series of wild strikes but Mexican uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cantu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mexican tries to avoid it but Cantu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mexican to the ground. Mexican escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cantu tightens his grip and picks Mexican up, before dumping him to the ground. Mexican manages to land in guard.

Cantu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Cantu with a flurry of punches that miss.

Cantu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cantu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cantu drops back looking for a leg! Mexican is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mexican manages to kick Cantu off! Cantu jumps back into Mexican's guard.
Mexican knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cantu on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cantu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Cantu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mexican's half guard.
Mexican wants to improve his position but Cantu is controlling well.
Cantu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

I would just about give that final round to Leo Cantu.
I think Cantu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
