Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Gaeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes into the arena with Trick Daddy - Let's Go ft Twista & Lil Jon blaring out of the sound system. Gaeta has chosen B.Y.O.B. as his entrance music. Oscar Diaz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Felix Gaeta's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaeta gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diaz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gaeta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gaeta wants to stand up but Diaz has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Gaeta wants to pass the guard but Diaz is defending well.

Gaeta is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gaeta keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Diaz's head.
Gaeta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Gaeta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gaeta has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

Gaeta sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Gaeta flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gaeta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Diaz scores with a hook to the body. Gaeta takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Diaz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gaeta moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.

Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaeta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Gaeta sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gaeta doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Diaz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gaeta thinking.
Diaz cracks Gaeta with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gaeta closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.
Gaeta looks gassed!

Diaz throws a right hand that Gaeta ducks under and follows up with a left that Gaeta also avoids with ease.
Diaz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Gaeta.
Gaeta tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Diaz wants to stall.
Diaz tries to break the clinch but Gaeta is controlling the position.
A nice left hand lands by Diaz.
Diaz tries to circle away but Gaeta has him pinned against the ropes.
Gaeta goes for a takedown attempt but Diaz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Oscar Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Gaeta.
Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diaz thuds his right hand into Gaeta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gaeta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Diaz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gaeta works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gaeta throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Diaz's body to avoid the submission. Diaz has instead reached around Gaeta's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Diaz arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
