The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapcheep ducks right into an uppercut from Ballswick.
Ballswick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ballswick shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rapcheep sprawls well. Rapcheep wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ballswick gets slowly back to his feet.

Ballswick throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rapcheep on the side of the head.

Ballswick wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rapcheep, who protects the arm well.

Ballswick goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rapcheep has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ballswick but great work by Rapcheep.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rapcheep tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Rapcheep wants to stand but Ballswick has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rapcheep can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ballswick is looking to escape.
