PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabbit's entrance music is Hero by Skillet. A fine choice. Rua has chosen Bla Bla Bla - Gigi D'Agostino as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Vitor Rua will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Rabbit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vitor Rua!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabbit moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Rua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No joy there for Rabbit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rua ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rabbit moves away.

Rabbit shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rua manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rabbit wants to pass the guard but Rua is keeping the position.
Rua is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rabbit is controlling him.

Rabbit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rabbit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rabbit drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rabbit seems to have locked his on tight now - Rua screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rabbit, as he picks up the win!
