6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jebediah Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Lingad! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stewart lands with a straight right. Lingad didn't see that one coming. Stewart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stewart tries a head kick but it misses.
Lingad moves out of range of the body kick. Lingad checks a low kick from Stewart. Stewart throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lingad lands a nice shot to the body.
Lingad gets a clinch. Stewart throws a knee to the head but misses.
Stewart cracks Lingad with a nice body shot. Stewart misses with a punch to the body.
Lingad with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Jebediah Stewart has been cut. Stewart stalling in the clinch but Lingad improves position. Stewart trying to land knees to the body.
Lingad is trying to maintain a safe position but Stewart gets an underhook and turns Lingad into the ropes. Lingad has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stewart misses the shot to the body. A shot to the body from Stewart misses and Lingad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lingad circles away from the clinch attempt and Lingad counters with a takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lingad trying to control the action but Stewart is working from the bottom. Lingad tries to score with some ground and pound. Stewart controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lingad cracks Stewart with an elbow. That is naaassty. Stewart takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Lingad wants to control but Stewart is keeping him busy. Sloppy strikes there by Lingad. Stewart can't do much from the bottom here.

Lingad trying to control the action but Stewart is working from the bottom. Stewart struggling a bit here. Stewart is looking for a sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lingad scores with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A low kick from Stewart is predictable there and Lingad counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A head kick by Stewart misses and Lingad counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lingad. Stewart keeping moving, preventing Lingad from controlling successfully. Lingad is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Lingad working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stewart's head. That's six minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lingad is squirming around, avoiding Stewart's attempts to control the action. Stewart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lingad regains half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Stewart wants to stand up but Lingad is controlling the position.
Stewart is looking to advance position but Lingad won't allow it. Stewart tries to stand and escape but Lingad is controlling the position.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lingad moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Stewart is looking to stand up but Lingad won't let him. Lingad keeping moving, preventing Stewart from controlling successfully. Stewart wants to stand but Lingad is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stewart throws a solid leg kick but Lingad takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Stewart. Stewart throws a body kick the misses and Lingad counters by clinching up. Stewart throws a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stewart lands a body punch. Lingad lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Lingad avoiding damage as Stewart throws knees to the body.
Lingad blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Stewart's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lingad has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stewart is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Stewart tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Stewart trying to stall but Lingad improves his position.

Lingad goes for a takedown attempt but Stewart pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A head kick by Stewart misses and Lingad counters with a lovely shot to the body. Lingad catches Stewart with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Danga de danga de dang - Stewart scores with a four punch combination! Lingad tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stewart walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Stewart tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lingad was well out of range. Poor timing from Stewart. Stewart defending well as Lingad loads up on a big left hand. Stewart throws a head kick but Lingad moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stewart misses with a wild body shot. Jebediah Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Stewart does it's job there. Stewart throws a lazy head kick and Lingad counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stewart! Lingad lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lingad sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Lingad throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Stewart can't escape the position.

Let's hope that Lingad has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Lingad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jebediah Stewart's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Stewart on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stewart tries to get out of the position. Stewart wants to control but Lingad is having none of it. Lingad tries to control but Stewart wriggling away. Stewart tries to hold on but Lingad pushes him away. Lingad throwing strikes here but Stewart is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lingad swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Stewart is now in Lingad's guard. A big mistake from Lingad there, giving up the dominant position! Lingad takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stewart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stewart trying to control the position from guard on top but Lingad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lingad is trying to control the position but Stewart postures up. Stewart looking to sit in guard and control but Lingad gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Stewart looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lingad working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Stewart wants to stand but Lingad is controlling the position. Jon Lingad has got the better of the ground game so far. Stewart looking to control.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Lingad passes Stewart's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lingad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lingad lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Stewart wants to improve his position but Lingad is controlling well.

Lingad with shots to the head and body - Stewart looks very uncomfortable down there. Lingad raining down shots from the mount! Lingad trying to control but Stewart is having none of it. Lingad can't control as he wanted to and Stewart manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Lingad is working for a kimura but Stewart is defending it quite comfortably.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Lingad not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stewart gets full guard. Stewart keeping moving, preventing Lingad from controlling successfully.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lingad wants to pass the guard but Stewart is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Good leg kick by Lingad there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lingad postures up in Stewart's guard and throws a big left but Stewart blocks it. Stewart controls Lingad momentarily but Lingad frees himself. Lingad stopping the sweep attempt from Stewart. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lingad missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Lingad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lingad winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
