Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damian Roshan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toivo Halaus!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halaus clinches with his opponent.
Halaus crunches a lovely knee into Roshan's ribcage.
Roshan tries to break the clinch but Halaus is controlling the position.
Halaus's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Halaus misses with some punches.
A short right from Halaus.
Halaus tries for a takedown but Roshan manages to get underhooks.
Halaus stalling in the clinch but Roshan improves position.
Roshan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Halaus has him pressed against the cage.
Halaus drags the fight down to the ground.
Halaus working for a triangle but Roshan defends it easily.
Roshan trying to control the position from guard on top but Halaus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roshan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halaus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Halaus working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roshan.
Halaus looking for a guillotine here but Roshan defends easily.
Roshan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Halaus's head.
Roshan is looking to work some ground and pound but Halaus has wrist control.
Roshan throws a big right hand that misses.
Roshan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Roshan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Halaus is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roshan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roshan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Halaus keeping moving, preventing Roshan from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halaus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Halaus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Halaus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Roshan as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Halaus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Roshan scores with a hook to the body. Halaus takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Halaus looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roshan misses with a leg kick.
Roshan's corner calls for a 1-2. Roshan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Roshan lands with a shot to the body.
Roshan stalks Halaus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Halaus's face. Halaus staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Toivo Halaus has been cut.
Roshan scores with a nice right hand.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Roshan! Halaus is backing up but he can't get away as Roshan lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Halaus and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Damian Roshan!
