Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yomi Sunday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dirk Dirt will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dirk Dirt! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dirt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sunday sprawls well. Sunday wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dirt gets slowly back to his feet. Dirt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sunday darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sunday trying to control from half guard but Dirt is working away. Dirt trying to control here.
Sunday seems to be working for a kimura but Dirt defends the submission attempt. Sunday tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dirt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt pushes Sunday off and gets back to his feet. Sunday has closed the distance and engaged Dirt in a clinch.
Sunday tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Dirt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sunday uses from the top position. Sunday has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sunday wants to pass the guard but Dirt is keeping the position. Sunday controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dirt keeping moving, preventing Sunday from controlling successfully. Sunday working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dirt's head. Sunday might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sunday tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunday closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sunday cracks Dirt with a big right hand but Dirt just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sunday wants to stand but Dirt has his arm trapped. Sunday trying to control the action but Dirt is working from the bottom. Sunday tries to move to mount but Dirt blocks the move with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sunday wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dirt keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sunday misses with a low kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sunday will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sunday throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yomi Sunday dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sunday shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dirt is trying to maintain the position but Sunday is very close to passing his half guard. Sunday seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dirt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dirt looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sunday working over Dirt with some ground and pound. Dirt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dirt is breathing heavily. Sunday tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dirt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dirt is staying active underneath Sunday, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sunday looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dirt is looking to control Sunday's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dirt avoid being mounted? Sunday trying to control the pace. Sunday is trying to control the action in half guard but Dirt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dirt fails with the takedown so Sunday counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sunday trying to control the position from guard on top but Dirt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sunday chips away with some ground and pound. Sunday wants to get up but he can't break Dirt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sunday is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sunday in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunday tries to free his leg and advance position but Dirt is retaining full guard. Sunday content to stall in guard here. Dirt keeping full guard, as Sunday tries to pass. Dirt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sunday is controlling him. Sunday stands up over Dirt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sunday sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dirt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sunday wants to get up but he can't break Dirt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sunday tries to free his leg and advance position but Dirt is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dirt with a poor takedown and Sunday counters with a shoot takedown. Dirt fights it but they end up in guard. Sunday wants to pass the guard but Dirt is keeping the position. Dirt looking to control.

Yomi Sunday dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Sunday gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dirt has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sunday is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sunday fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sunday pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sunday tried to score with a low kick but Dirt checks it. Dirt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sunday to score an easy takedown into full guard. Sunday connects with a couple of short punches. Sunday is in close to Dirt's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dirt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sunday stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dirt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sunday is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sunday wants to control from the top but Dirt keeps moving. Sunday wants to stand but Dirt is controlling his posture from full guard. Dirt keeping moving, preventing Sunday from controlling successfully. Sunday is really struggling to control Dirt but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sunday looking to sit in guard and control but Dirt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dirt preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sunday clinches. Sunday is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Sunday for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Sunday breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunday bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dirt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sunday asserts his dominance and retains side control. Dirt struggling a bit here. Sunday lands a decent elbow from side control. Sunday stands up. Dirt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sunday to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sunday wanted to stand there but Dirt had control of the position. Sunday trying to control but Dirt is working from the bottom. Sunday has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dirt is proving hard to escape from. Dirk Dirt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yomi Sunday is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dirt throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
